

She graduated from Loretto Academy in 1966 in El Paso, Texas; she received her Bachelors Degree from UTEp in 1970 and her Masters Degree in Sociology at the University of Texas in Austin in 1972. Upon Graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, she worked as a teacher at Father Yermo School in El Paso, Texas for a few years.
Shortly thereafter, she moved to California, where she worked as a Social Worker in Inglewood, California for a few years before moving to Oxnard, California to work for Tri-County Regional Center as a Social Worker for the Developmentally Disabled Children and their families. She remained in the Tri-County Regional Center for 34 years before retiring.
People who worked with or for her found her to have a positive attitude and to be very understanding, patient and courteous. Families were left with the knowledge that she was doing her very best for the welfare of their children by closely adhering to the State and County rules and regulations.
She was also generous, contributing to various charities; but her favorite charity was "Doctors Without Borders," because they treat the impoverished population of the world.
Ana, together with her brother (Guillermo E. Moreno, MD) and her sisters (Elvia Betina Moreno and Angelina M. Badillo) strongly believed that humans were not the only beings inhabiting the universe. Surely, other civilizations inhabit this Universe they believed. Ana, along with her siblings were deeply interested in the subject of Spirituality and how it impacts our lives.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm with a prayer service at 6:00pm at Funeraria del Angel Central 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Memorial mass will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 9:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903 with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
