Andre was married to his surviving wife of 42 years, Katherine Christmas. His children Andrea S. Christmas, Andre Christmas Jr., Anthony H. Christmas and Andrew Christmas. Andre has 6 living grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins he loved and cherished very much.
In his early years, Andre (known by his close friends and family as Jug) loved to have fun and make those around him laugh. If there was ever someone who you could count on to have your back and support, Andre would be there proudly.
A man of principle, a man of character, and a man devoted to his family, Andre loved to be there for those he truly cared about. If you knew Andre, you know he would give you the shirt off his back, if it meant keeping you warm. A self taught handyman, mechanic, plumber, craftsman, and ‘Jack of all trades’, Andre was often requested within the family and around the neighborhood to help fix, repair, or replace a variety of miscellaneous things. One prominent job being to renovate the neighborhood church for the Heights community.
As he got older, it was the simple things that kept Andre true to his core and values such as, sitting on the porch watering his grass (greenest on the block). Enjoying his dogs run through the yard. Or listening to music with a cold beer telling stories of when he was younger. These things alone are what most remember about Andre, but above all else, he loved and was proud of everyone around him.
