Angel “Gelo” Munoz, 86, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2017. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and had been a bootmaker with Tony Lama Boots for over 15 years. Gelo was a well-known baseball player throughout El Paso and Cd. Juarez. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Victoria Munoz. Survivors include his children, Miguel Angel (Graciela), Jose Javier and Maria Angelina Munoz, sister, Carmen Guzman,sister-in-law, Maria de la Luz Ramirez, Anita Fields, grandchildren, Michael Angel, Dennise, Christopher, Jose Javier Jr. and Adrian Munoz. Great grandchildren, Sebastian, Michael, Alyssa, Gia, Nadia, Arturo Javier, Christopher and Madison. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave., with the Vigil at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
