Anthony Archuleta was living the dream and making a difference when he was suddenly taken from our lives February 5, 2010. Anthony, a paramedic, spent his life taking care of others first. A devoted, loving husband to Kim "Bubbles" Senger Archuleta. Kim and Anthony were fortunate to have found each other and were able to spend a love-filled five years together. Anthony was a wonderful father to his three sons, Matthew and Brian Archuleta of Amarillo, TX , Andrew Archuleta of Denver, CO, stepdaughter Robbi Dunkle of El Paso, TX, and a doting grandfather to his grandson, the light of his life, Dominic (sorry Dominic, no more early releases from timeout from your grandpa). He was number one in the lives of his parents Oliver and Beatrice Archuleta of Grand Junction, CO, and his siblings, Wanda Swofford of Fruita, CO, Becky (Gary) Miller of Lakewood, CO, Linda (Gary) Nichols of Craig, CO, Oliver Archuleta Jr. ( Keith Risanen) of San Diego, Lori (Boyd) Franklin of Grand Junction, CO and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who adored him. The family of Kim Archuleta are deeply saddened by this loss as well since he touched so many lives. Anthony Archuleta was preceeded in death by his grandparents Raymond & Flora Achuleta and Jose & Placida Bernal, and his niece Kimberly Swofford, and nephew, Garrett Swofford. He graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 1973 and attended Front Range Community College in Colorado and was currently pursuing his bachelors degree at ENMSU, something very important to him. Anthony started his life in Colorado, raising his family on a farm in Fruita, CO, which he dearly loved, and then pursued his ambition of serving as a Paramedic over ten years ago. He worked for Platte Valley Medical Center for eight years and was fondly known by his colleagues as nugget. He then moved to El Paso, TX two years ago and was employed by Omniflight as a flight paramedic. He also worked for UMS, Fort Bliss Fire Department. Anthony was a humble, endearing man who is already desperately missed by family, friends and Tucker, his pooch. Services will be held at Martin Funeral Home Central at 3839 Montana at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10 following a procession. Flowers may be sent to this location or in lieu of flowers a donation can be sent to Big Brother Big Sisters at 1724 Wyoming, El Paso, TX 79902 in his name.
