Armando Ontiveros Sr., went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2018. He was born to Francisco and Antonia Ontiveros and was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a proud Bowie Bear graduate. He was a generous man who never ever closed his door to anyone. He had countless friends everywhere and was always ready to share a joke at any given moment. Mr. Ontiveros retired from Raytheon Service Company after 35 years of service and was a member of Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church Men’s Club. He was also part of the 19th Rifle Regiment in the Marine Corps. He never missed his children’s and grandchildren’s events and will continue to do so from up in Heaven. This wonderful man will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Raul Ontiveros (Rosa), and Eufemio Ontiveros. Mr. Ontiveros is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Rivera Ontiveros, children; Sylvia Ontiveros Gonzalez (Arturo), Armando “Rocky” Ontiveros (Maria), and Maria Hilda Ontiveros Duran (Andy). Grandchildren; Michael Ontiveros (Lauren), Jacob Ontiveros (Kyra), Marie Gonzalez, Adam Duran, Abel Duran, Omar Gonzalez, Lisa Gonzalez (Joe Nico), Marissa Pinon, and Michael Lopez (Leslie). Great Grandchildren; Jase Armando Ontiveros, Krysta Elizabeth Ontiveros, Joseph Nico II, and Luken Lopez. Siblings; Kiko Ontiveros (Jo), Roberto Ontiveros, Ofelia Ontiveros and Lola Canales (Leonel). He is also survived by his sister-in-law; Eleonor Ontiveros. Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m. at Evergreen East Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 11, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church. Rite of committal will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
