Thank you Mr. Benavides for having the courage to serve our country. You are one of the "Brave for the land of the Free". Mere words are not enough to express what we owe to brave, selfless people like you who have sacrificed so much to give us freedom.

May you rest in the hands of the Lord.

Arturo and I started our friendship at Henderson Middle school, we then graduated high school together and went our separate ways. He joined the Army and I joined the Marines. It was many years before our paths met again while working at Sun Metro. He was very friendly with a great sense of Humor. My sincere condolences go out to his wife and family. Tury you will be greatly missed. #El Paso Strong

My deepest condolences to the Benavides family for the loss of their loved one. Gone, but not forgotten. I remember Mr. Benavides from his service in the Texas Army National Guard prior to his retirement. I was a brand new soldier and worked very briefly with Mr Arturo Benavides but I do remember he was well loved and respected by all his fellow soldiers and those that he lead. He retired from military service many years ago but their are few 'old guys', like myself, that remember Mr Benavides. We will never forget this brave, honorable veteran. A true American hero. RIP brother, your brothers and sisters in arms have taken the watch! 🇺🇸

My childhood neighbor for years , you and my brother Johnny were best of friends. I remember wanting to hang out with you and your brothers constantly cause it was so much fun with all you guys. Terry was my bestie but we lost touch when I moved to California. You made a good life for yourself Arturo and looks like you made beautiful memories. May your Legacy live on through your loved ones. My deepest condolences to Mrs Benavidez and family. May God help us all heal.
