Arturo R. Ramirez, 83, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on August 24th. Born on May 29th, 1942, Arturo was a loving father, devoted husband and brother, and proud US Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a committed and passionate member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) organization and the Stateliners Car Club.
He is survived by siblings Juanita Garces, Mary Lou Ramirez, Otilia Vielma, Mary Anne Avalos, Maxine Briceño, Hector Ramirez and David Ramirez, along with wife Claudia A. Ramirez and son Benjamin J. Ramirez. Arturo returns home to his parents, Juan and Luz Ramirez, and siblings Bertha Paz, Ricardo "Rick" Ramirez, Lorenza Vega, Santiago Ramirez and Ricardo Ramirez.
A public visitation and prayer service for Arturo's life will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Anthony, NM on 9 September from 9:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m., followed by a mass at 11:15 a.m. His funeral will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
