Bertha Josefina Aranda Garcia Passed away Monday, April 3, 2018 in El Paso, Texas. She has been preceded in death by her husband Nicanor Garcia. She is survived by her three children, Evelyn Griffiths, Nick Garcia Jr, Carmen Garcia, and 6 grandchildren, Nick Garcia III, Noel Garcia, Linda Flores, Catherine Bogart, Carla Dack and Christine Mireles, 13 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She saw it all, almost a century worth of history. The little gal with the big brown eyes and beautiful smile from the West Texas town of San Elizario where she was born during the Great War to Adolfo Daniel Aranda and Romana Aranda was the fifth of nine siblings. Visitation will be Sunday, April 8, 2018 with vigil at 7pm at Martin Funeral Home Central. Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 9, 2018 at 1:15pm at St. Patrick’s Cathedral with interment to follow at 2:30 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
