

Betty Mae Nebhan Fischer went on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, January 5, 2014, after a long struggle with complications due to diabetes. Betty Mae Fischer was born on May 7, 1931 in El Paso, Texas to Joseph and Labebe Nebhan, immigrants from Lebanon. After graduation from El Paso High School in 1949, Betty worked at a grocery store and later at the El Paso Electric Company in the accounting department. She married Heinz Fischer from Neumunster, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany on December 22, 1962 in El Paso. They recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. She also survived by her children Curtis H. Fischer (Allison) of Grand Praire, Texas and Anna M. Moreland (Rodney) of Tulsa, Ok, and her grandchildren Luke and Micah Moreland, Heidi, Jennifer and Jonathan Fischer. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday January 10, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home Central with a 6:00pm vigil. Chapel service will be held 9:30am Saturday January 11, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home.
