June 27th, 1950 – January 20, 2019
A loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle was called from us on January 20th, 2019. He was a true mentor and father figure to many people over the years and he will be deeply missed.
Bill was adopted by William and Frances Means on June 27th, 1950. He graduated from Eastwood High School in 1968 and then attended the University of Wyoming, returning to El Paso to complete his degree at the University of Texas at El Paso. In December 1972 he married the love of his life, Annette Ryan and they began a marriage envious to many. In the late 70’s, Bill bought into a small electrical contractor and built it into a multi-faceted business over his 40 years. He was also involved in many other businesses in the El Paso area, of which he and Annette enjoyed being actively involved in, the last of which was Mesa Street Grill, which was their final labor of love together. Their years of travel together and new cuisines led them to open Mesa Street Grill and was a passion for both until the very end.
The love shared by Bill and Annette leaves behind 5 cherished children, Ryan and wife Christa, Amanda, Aaron and wife Jennifer, twins Billy and Kyle, and Marc and fiancé Lisa. Bill was blessed with 15 grandchildren along with numerous nephews and nieces.
A gathering for remembrance and celebration of his life for family and friends will be held on January 31,2019. The Service will begin at 3pm with Visitation and Memorials . Services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903.
In lieu of floral arrangements the family prefers contributions be made in his honor to the American Heart Association. If anyone has stories or memories they would like to share about Bill and his life, please send them to [email protected] so that the family can share them with others.
