Billie Jean Wagner

Billie Jean Wagner, 87, entered eternal life, peacefully surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Born September 13, 1938, in Dierks, Arkansas, Billie was the son of Onis G. and Lou Wagner. He later made his home in El Paso, Texas, where he was widely cherished and deeply beloved by those who came to know him.

Billie lived with steady devotion to his family and a loyal, generous spirit toward others. He was known for a kind heart, a patient nature, and a quiet wisdom that offered reassurance in both ordinary moments and life’s harder seasons. Selfless in the ways that matter most, he consistently chose to see the good in people and welcomed individuals from all walks of life with sincere respect.

A hard-working professional throughout his life, Billie began one of his first jobs with the Gas Company before building a long and distinguished career with Xerox Corp., where he remained for over 35 years. Starting as an office equipment sales representative, he went on to serve in sales, marketing, and service management, eventually becoming a Xerox Supply Sales Specialist. In that role, he oversaw El Paso and Southern New Mexico, earning the respect of colleagues and leaving a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him. His work-related travels in his Volkswagen Diesel Rabbit became synonymous with him—an enduring image of his dedication and reliability.

Beyond his professional life, Billie’s adventurous spirit found its truest expression outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, and he also enjoyed frog hunting. Gifted with knowledge and many skills, he carried himself as a faithful and remarkable gentleman—steady, capable, and quietly confident, with a warmth that made others feel at ease.

Years after the passing of his first wife, Joan, Billie found love again and married Lourdes Pargas. Together they celebrated over 25 years of marriage. Billie is survived by his loving wife, Lourdes Wagner; daughters, Charla Duran, Crystal Sparks, Marcie Dilks, and Gabriela Puga. He is also survived by 7 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, as well as great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Chapel Service at 12 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.

Billie will be remembered with enduring gratitude and respect—as a devoted husband, a faithful presence, and a man whose kindness, loyalty, and steady generosity left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
