After graduating from Austin High School in 1953, he went on to study at the University of Texas at El Paso.
In 1957, he accepted a job as a draftsman for El Paso Natural Gas Company. He loved the company, and would end up staying for 33 years, rising through the ranks the entire time, until his retirement in 1990.
Brian had 2 children, Kevin and Lori. He was a wonderful and devoted father and mentor. He always taught us to stand tall, be strong and responsible, and to know ourselves in all situations, and he supported us all throughout the many accomplishments and difficulties of our lives. He had a wonderful sense of humor, he was ornery, smart and compassionate.
When Brian wasn't working, he could be found on the golf course, and he excelled at the sport he was passionate about. He loved to hunt and fish, enjoyed road trips, and most of all, loved his entire family dearly.
Brian is survived by his daughter Lori Collier; and his son Kevin Collier; his sister-in-law Joyce Collier; his grandson Ryan Collier and his grandson Brenden Collier.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother Katherine Collier and his father Burgess Collier; his sister Kay Long; his brother Burgess "Bud" Collier; his brother Michael Collier Sr; his brother-in-law Reese Rowling and his sister-in-law Jane Collier.
Brian also leaves many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
"But God will redeem my life from the grave;
