Consuelo "Chelo" Munoz Perea, age 80, was called by our Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She was a devout Catholic and a fierce fighter for justice. She touched many lives and was only a phone call away for anyone who needed her guidance, love and prayers. She had a contagious smile and laughter.
She worked many years as a social worker for Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union. She was a secretary for the Diocese of El Paso and worked at St. Patrick's after school care.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio, daughters Monica and Rosalba (Abraham), and her grandchildren, Abraham, Jr., Isaac and Irene.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. with a Vigil Service to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 25, 2024 at 12 noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
This is not a goodbye but a see you later. You are loved and dearly missed. Your spirit will live on in our memories.
