After a difficult 25 year battle with cancer, Daniel E. Cisneros of El Paso, TX, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. A warrior throughout life, he was 75 years old. Daniel was born on April 18, 1946, to Daniel and Eufrosina Cisneros in a small mining town of Ocampo, Chihuahua, Mexico. Daniel graduated from Burges High School and joined the United States Air Force, serving for four years. He then met Leticia at a music shop in Juarez, Mexico where he asked her out to lunch. Daniel and Leticia went on to have three children, Adrian, Daniela, and Samantha.This proud veteran studied Industrial Operations Management at El Paso Community College and worked as a manager for Lonestar Gas. Moving forward, Daniel was the Assistant Director to the central plant, HVAC system, and Research department at the University of Texas at El Paso. Daniel retired after 45 years of service with UTEP. While retired, Daniel had time to pursue his love of golf, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. He was very active with his church community and donated much of his time, when he could.
Daniel is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Robert. He is survived by his loving wife, Lety Cisneros , his son Adrian (Marlene) , grandkids Andrea, Dizan, Victoria and Daniel. His daughters Daniela (Jose Avila) granddaughter Anahi and Samantha (Carlos) grandson Santino. His brothers Luis and Alfredo Cisneros and sister Mary Ditty.
Services will be held on Tuesday February 8, at Funeraria Del Angel Central located at 3839 Montana Avenue. Visitation will be between 5:00-9:00 pm, with the Rosary held at 7:00 pm.
Church services will be held on Wednesday February 9, at Queen of Peace Parish, located at 1551 Belvidere Street at 12:15 pm with burial services at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue at 2:00 pm.
