It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Delfina Puga, a devoted wife, cherished mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, treasured sister, and loyal friend. She was preceded in death by her son Genaro "Jerry" Puga, and her parents Alejandro & Adelida Viveros.
Delfina was the heart of our family—her love was deep, her strength unwavering, and her presence a constant source of comfort and grace. Born in El Paso, she grew up with a spirit of kindness and resilience that shaped every chapter of her life.
She was the devoted wife of Juan R. Puga, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and partnership. Together they built a home that was always open, warm, and filled with the aroma of her home-cooked meals, the sound of laughter, and the comfort of unconditional love.
As a mother, she raised her children with fierce love, teaching them not just how to grow, but how to live—with compassion, humility, and courage. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she gave each of them the gift of her time, her wisdom, and her unwavering belief in who they could become.
A devout Catholic, Delfina found strength and solace in her faith. She was a proud and active member of Union Católica De San José, where she was deeply involved in her parish community. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life in the way she prayed daily for those she loved.
She also found great joy in her community, especially as a vibrant member of the Memorial Park Senior Dance Group, where her joy, rhythm, and laughter brought energy and happiness to all who shared the dance floor with her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and generosity. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we are profoundly grateful for the time we had with her and for the ways she shaped our lives. Her memory will live on in the stories we tell, the traditions we carry forward, and the love we continue to share.
She is survived by her husband Juan Puga, Sons Alex (Marvelin) Puga, Agustin (Kathy) Puga, and Juan Jr (Liz) Puga, Daughters Diana (Felix) Pedregon, Melissa (Dominic) Hernandez, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
