Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and child of God, Dora Blancas Fierro was born September 22, 1934 and was called to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family, June 22, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband Arturo, parents Jorge and Ignacia, sons David and Ruben, and brother Samuel.
Dora will forever live in the hearts of all whose lives she touched. As a faithful servant of the Lord, she planted seeds of love and hope and inspired others. A life-long member of her church, she led the path of her faith by example. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling around the world. Her love radiated to everyone who crossed her path.
Following Dora’s lead, she is survived by her daughter Lydia Salaiz (David); sons Joel (Cristina), Edwardo (Freda), Jacob, and Jeannie Wells; grandchildren Nickie Ann, Jessie Lynn, Jeremey, Audri, Kurt, Andrea, David Jr., Michael, Matthew, and Ruben; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers George (Monica) and Andres (Rocio); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. She was the best wife, Momma, and Grandma that anyone could ever pray to have. She was so loved and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Visitation and services are on Monday, June 28, at Templo El Calvario, 605 S. Kansas St., 5:00-9:00; and Tuesday, June 29, 12:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Central (Martin Funeral Home), 3839 Montana Ave. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Reception will follow at Templo El Calvario. Funeral service will be livestreamed via facebook at https://www.facebook.com/fdacentral/
