Dora was born to Benito Villarreal and Maria Del Refugio Valles in El Paso, TX. In 1966, while working as a civil servant at Ft Bliss, TX, Dora met her future husband, Richard. They married on April 3, 1970 and remained in El Paso to build a loving home and raise their four children. Richard and Dora were married for 53 years and, if you had the privilege to know Dora, you knew that she had the most endearing and deepest love for Richard. Dora was very dedicated to supporting not only her husband and children but would do anything she could to support the needs of all her family members. She was a true patriot, just as Richard was, and served as a civil servant for over 35 years. With the births of her grandchildren, Dora had a newfound purpose and decided to retire to spend her time freely with them. Dora spent her last days being active and in full participation of her daily routines. Just a few days before the Lord called Dora home, He impressed upon her a glorious intuition that led her to be very intentional and ardent in openly and transparently expressing her love and gratitude for her children and grandchildren, which has left us with indescribable peace and comfort.
Dora is now in the heavenly realms, she is fully restored, and is rejoicing in the warm embrace of Jesus; the love of her life, Richard; her parents, Benito and Maria; her brothers Emilio and Benito Jr; her cherished dog, Tesla; and with the many, many other family members whom she cherished, adored, and spoke of very fondly. Dora is survived by her four children, Gabriela, Laura (Danny), Richard (Ana), and Zachary; her three grandchildren Amelia, Reagan, and Kiley; and her fur-babies Ellie and BlumBlou.
Serving as Pallbearers are Richard Gilliland, Zachary Gilliland, Reagan Rubio, Danny Sander, Joseph Villarreal, Jesus Leyva and Frank Ortiz.
Visitation for Dora will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. A vigil will occur Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, Texas 79906.
