Eddie attended Wilcox High School, where he played tennis and developed a lifelong love for camaraderie and competition. He spent many years working in construction after having some training in architecture school. This eventually led him into building and then owning in partnership some of El Paso’s most well-known establishments including Mulligan’s, Graham’s Corner, Rods and Wheels, El Rancho Escondido, and then as the owner of Handle Bars.
An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, Eddie loved the open road and traveled across America, embracing the freedom and adventure that defined his spirit. “Live fast, die young, leave a good-looking corpse,” was his forever life motto. His favorite places to visit were the mountains of Ruidoso, the roads of Baja Mexico, celebrating Rex Allen Days with friends in Wilcox and bike runs including Sturgis, Porto Pinasco, Golden Aspen and AZ bike week. Known for his strong work ethic and larger-than-life presence, Eddie will be remembered for his stories, his friendships, and frequent adventures.
Above all else, Eddie’s greatest joy was his grandchildren, who will miss their grandpa deeply and carry his memory forward always.
Edward Holguin’s legacy will be through the many lives he touched and the family who loved him dearly.
