Elfida Martinez, 91, was called home by our Heavenly Father on May 30, 2018. She was the only daughter of the late Francisca C. and Francisco C. Martinez; she had lived in El Paso, Texas for 80 years before moving to Nevada in 2007, then returned to El Paso in 2017. Elfida was employed by the El Paso School District for over 25 years before retiring. She is survived by her daughters, Clara Elvia Valverde (Guillermo) of San Antonio, Texas, Sylvia A. Martinez and Lilia E. Martinez-Hurtado, both of El Paso, Texas and Mary Lou Ballez (Marcos) of Henderson, Nevada; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Martin Funeral Home Central with a 6:00pm vigil. Funeral Mass will be held 10: 00 am on Monday, June 4, 2018 at San Francisco Xavier on Latta St. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery
