On August 6, 2025, Elizabeth Torres Labrado peacefully slipped into eternal rest, her life a testament of unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ. With gentle grace, she stepped into the presence of her Savior, embraced by the loved ones who went before her, and is now experiencing the fulfillment of God’s eternal promises.
Born in El Paso, Texas, into a lively family of eight, Elizabeth—affectionately known as “Flaca” for her petite frame—was a spirited soul who could just as easily join a game of baseball with the boys as she could turn heads with an elegant updo.
As a young woman, she worked at Angelus Cleaners, where she met Eulogio Labrado, the father of her children. After his untimely passing, Elizabeth courageously raised their sons with the loving support of her extended family. She later remarried and, not long after, was diagnosed with cancer. True to her strength and determination, Elizabeth overcame the illness and remained in remission for the rest of her life.
Her journey continued as her family grew, and she joyfully embraced her new role as grandmother—a title she held with deep pride and love. Professionally, Elizabeth was equally dedicated. She worked at El Paso Honda for over a decade, a job she took great pride in, eventually retiring after years of loyal service.
Beyond her work and family, Elizabeth's faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted Christian, her weeks were anchored by worship—first Wednesdays and Saturdays, and later Sundays—at Abundant Church. She served joyfully, volunteering at events and greeting her church family with warmth and kindness week after week.
In 2017, Elizabeth married Jorge Garcia, and together they built a life filled with love and companionship in their home on Davwood. Their final years were rich with shared joys: gardening, travel, family gatherings, church services, and cheering on their beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Elizabeth loved many things in this life—but none more than her faith, her family, and her Cowboys.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband Jorge Garcia, his children Jorge Jr, Juan Carlos and Gloria. Her sons Jose, his wife Belinda, Victor, his wife Ali, her grandchildren Valerie, Jr, Mj, Elijah and Ez, her great grandchildren Liam, Emi, Penelope, Joshua, Aleyah, Josiah and her brother Manuel Torres Jr and sister Connie Prieto.
She was the cherished daughter of Anita Benavente and Manuel Torres Sr., and the beloved sister to Joe Torres, Gloria Torres and Esther Sabas all of whom she is now joyfully reunited—dancing, singing, and smiling together for eternity.
Visitation for Elizabeth will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a prayer service at 6:00 pm, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903.
