Thank you for coming to celebrate our dads new life in heaven. Dad had a wonderful sense of humor. He spoke to everyone and was never a stranger to anyone. He loved life, he loved his wife, he loved his children, his grandchildren and he considered his extended family as his own grandchildren. His friends loved him and loved them back. He had a passion for food, art, music, woodwork, and dancing. He always made sure he gave out as many compliments as he could. Last week, he mustard up enough energy to let a nurse know she looked good in green. He was never selfish and always ready to help anyone in time of need. I wrote a special letter that I would like to share with you Mexican, I knew when I first saw you, you were my dad. I loved you from before I met you. I remember talking to you on the phone and calling you Papi. Your calls from Panama and Bolivia are what I looked forward to as a kid. I remember when you came home for good, you saw me eating bean soup that mom made us and you asked me if I was a Mexican, at that age, I didn't know what that was. I remember responding by saying " no I'm not a Mexican you're the Mexican." Since then Mexican , was my term of endearment for you Dad. I want you to know that you have always been my hero and always will be. You taught me self defense, by teaching me martial arts and inner self defense by showing me how to be resilient . But more than anything you taught me that being kind and loving was not a sign of weakness but a sign of great strength. I already feel lost with out you but I promise I will think of you whenever I feel like giving up and I'll get the strength from the memories we made together and as a family. Thank you dad for having the passion to work on our ancestry and leave us with the legacy of our Mexican, Spanish , Toltec Indian and American heritage. I'm so proud to be all four. But I'm more proud to be your daughter. I will forever love you my Mexican. Dad, I know that some time down the road I will see you again and this time I will hold you tight and never let you go. I love you back, I love you like nobody's business and I love you for ever. And yes the dogs are doing okay and getting their biscuits at night

It was my priviledge and honor in knowing this wonderful man.  He was always so caring and a great gentleman.  My deepest condolences to the Gonzalez Family.  May God bless you and comfort you.
