Frances Maynard Hernandez, 92, was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother. Her warmth, strength, and deep love for her family were the heart of everything she did.
Frances was preceded in death by her beloved mother Antonia Maynard Mendoza, father Henry Maynard, sisters Carmen Maynard Geren and Virginia Maynard, and brothers Eduardo and Carlos Maynard.
She leaves behind her best friend of 75 years, loving husband of 70 years, Ruben L. Hernandez, and a beautiful legacy through their children: Wilfred (Grace), Martha Buchberg (Raymond), Richard (Ceci), Gilbert (Ana), and Raul (Cathy) Hernandez. She is also survived by her brother Henry Maynard Jr., 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren who lovingly called her Grandma and will always carry her spirit with them.
Frances worked as a seamstress at Hortex Manufacturing, but her true joy came from her family. She loved to dance and was an extraordinary cook, known for creating meals that brought everyone together. To many, she was affectionately known as “Mom,” a testament to the nurturing love she gave so freely.
