Francis James Flood

Francis James Flood, born February 21, 1933 in El Paso, Texas, passed away at home with his wife, María Elena and children by his side, on March 26, 2018 at the age of 85. He dedicated his life to God, family and service to his community. Francis was a dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Serra Club, alumnus of Cathedral High School and Loyola of Los Angeles. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. His professional career was in pharmaceutical sales. A loyal friend and a compassionate man to all.

Francis is survived by María Elena Acevedo, his wife of 63 years, four daughters Judith, Kathryn, Kellie, Margaret, two sons Jerome, and Michael. Preceded in death by his daughter Theresa, son James, parents Michael J. and Katheryn K. Flood, his brothers and sisters John, William, Joseph, Paul, Robert, Mary, Michael Jr., and Isabell. He was a proud father of eight, grandfather of eighteen, great grandfather of nine and many nieces and nephews.

An Irishman, with a gusto for life. He was a prankster that kept us all on our toes. His blue eyes and his big smile greeted us and that will remain in our memories forever.

Memorial Service and Rosary are Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 1PM to 5PM, with Rosary at 1:30PM, Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903.
