Our dear father Gabino Juarez, age 94 passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 17, 2024, and has been called to be with our Lord in heaven. Gabino was born on February 19, 1930. His mother passed away early in his life when he was 10 and he was a raised by his grandmother. Soon thereafter, he became the head of household at the young age of 12 providing for his Grandmother and younger siblings. He was married to our beautiful mother Francisca Cabral Juarez until her passing in 1995.
He loved his work and spent his early years working as a butcher for most of his life and his later years as a mechanic. He was also an avid gardener. Throughout his life, he loved playing and singing music. He sang in the church choir at Santo Nino Church and was a member of The Knights of Columbus, No. 11613.
He loved playing the violin, harmonica and the jarana, but his passion was playing his guitars! He sang with Mariachis anytime he could and performed with Viva Mexico at the Chamizal for many years.
He was especially very proud of movies he starred in, such as Rangers: Muerte in Texas and others. He loved to be surrounded by his children, family, friends and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Manuel Juarez, Pedro Antonio Juarez, Gilbert Juarez, Angie Juarez Barill (Patrick), Patsy Juarez, Leticia Juarez Cobos (Antonio), Jorge Luis Juarez, Julia Juarez, Gaby Juarez Jr., and Nicolas Juarez (+).
Visitation for Gabino Juarez will be held on June 21st from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. 79903. Funeral Mass will be on June 22nd at 9am at Santo Nino De Atocha Church, 210 S Clark Dr. 79905. Interment to follow at Concordia Cemetery, 3700 Yandell Dr. 79903.
