Gabriel A. Matamoros

Gabriel was one of the best football players for El Paso High School and was 2nd in the state of Texas. He was Senior All Star and MVP in 1994. He enjoyed playing golf and was a Raiders fan. He was also a proud employee for Sam's Club meat department for many years

Gabriel is survived by his father Rafael, mother Christina, son Christopher & brother Jorge Matamoros. He is also survived by his nephew Diego Matamoros; uncle Aurelio Matamoros; aunts Mague Sears, Raquel Garcia & Rosa Vega; cousin Alonzo Vega Jr. and his pitbull dog Blue. Gabriel will also be missed by his extended family and many, many friends.

Gabriel's final resting place will be Mt. Carmel Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.

A visitation for Gabriel will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (rosary at 7PM) at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will be Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Patrick Catholic Church, 1118 N. Mesa St., El Paso, TX 79902 with graveside service to follow at Mt Carmel, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
