Gilbert J. Placencia Sr.

Gilbert Placencia, Sr. joined his beloved wife Rachel in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ and our Blessed Mother Mary, on August 16, 2010. Gilbert was born on December 14, 1928, in El Paso, TX. He served in the Navy from 1945-1949 and was awarded the WW II Victory medal and Good Conduct medal. He was a wonderful husband, loving son and son-in-law. Left to cherish his memory are his children Gilbert Jr. (Letty), Cynthia Dakan (Jerry), Kathy Conde (Tony), Sally Loweree (Jaime), grandchildren: Tony Conde, III, Derek Dakan, Marcus Conde, John Dakan, Jerry Jeff Dakan, Alex Conde, Catherine Loweree, Laneige Conde and Elizabeth Loweree, two great granddaughters: Breeann Conde and Maya Conde, his brother Domingo Placencia, sister Margaret Montes, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Gilbert made his career in the building industry. Our loving father graciously provided for his family. We love you Daddy with all our hearts. We know you are happy now that you are with your beautiful Rachel. Visitation will be held 5pm to 9pm Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central with a 6:30 pm vigil. Funeral Mass 9:45 am Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
