Glenn Willis Archer, 68, entered eternal life on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Born on June 23, 1958, Glenn was welcomed into the world by his parents, Glenn and Odett Archer. Throughout his life, he carried himself with steady courage and a deep sense of duty, earning the respect and affection of those who knew him.
Glenn dedicated more than 35 years of service to his career in law enforcement. He joined the El Paso Police Department in 1987 having retired from the City of El Paso after over 24 years of service. Glenn enjoyed his career in law enforcement, and he took great pride in being a police officer. His dedication to public service continued throughout his life and he went on to serve multiple agencies to include, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, the Horizon Police Department, the Anthony Police Department, the Canutillo Independent School District Police Department, and the Odessa Police Department. Glenn’s work reflected a tireless commitment to others—marked by perseverance, integrity, and the quiet strength of someone who believed in showing up, doing the job well, and standing firm when it mattered most.
Although his career was of great importance, above all, Glenn was a loving and devoted father. He never turned down an invitation from his sons, even after a long day at work. Glenn was happiest spending quality time with his family. He leaves behind a legacy that is defined by the selfless love he gave his family and making sure he was always present and supportive. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved sons, Glenn Raymond Archer, Christopher David Archer (Adriana), Michael Scott Archer, and Nathan Caleb Archer. His memory will remain with his loving grandchildren, Carlos Hijar, Brooke Summer Archer, Logan Blake Archer, and Landon Scott Archer. Also surviving Glenn is his sister, Lily Mae Lanthier.
Glenn’s presence was a constant source of love and steadiness, and he will be remembered as a beloved man whose devotion to family and service shaped the lives around him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Del Sol Church East, 11501 Vista Del Sol Dr.
Rite of Committal will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
