Gloria Patino Minjarez Vallejo

Gloria Patino Minjarez Vallejo joined her Lord, Jesus Christ, and her earthly family at the young age of 101 years. Gloria was born December 29, 1912 in Chihuahua, Mexico and passed away January 6, 2014 in El Paso, TX. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo and Teresa Mora Patino, her 3 sisters and 7 brothers, and her husbands, Rogelio H. Minjarez and Alfonso Vallejo. She is survived by her only son, George R. Minjarez of San Antonio, TX and wife Judy. She has 5 grandchildren: Teresa Minjarez, San Antonio, TX, Steven Minjarez, San Diego, CA, Cynthia Minjarez, Alexandria, VA, Kathleen Zamora and her husband, Aaron, San Antonio, TX and Marie Minjarez, San Antonio, TX. She also leaves 4 great-grandchildren, Cassandra Hohler, Corpus Christi, TX, Kylee Zamora, Draven Zamora and Zoe Zamora all of San Antonio, TX. Gloria leaves behind numerous nieces & nephews in El Paso, TX, Scottsdale, AZ, Washington, D.C. and in Mexico as well as her special long-time friends, Oscar and Chela Calderon of El Paso. Gloria was active in El Paso Opera productions as a soprano, Church choirs, helping the Sisters of Charity and a member of the once active social club. The Barons & Catholic Daughters of America. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home Central. 3839 Montana Ave. from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the Vigil at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 13, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Patrick Cathedral. Interment at Ft. Bliss National cemetery. Gloria’s family wishes to give a Special Thank You to Ruben and Martita Herrera for the wonderful care they gave to their mother for the last 9 years.
