Hector was born in Roswell, NM, later laying roots in El Paso, TX--a resident of El Paso for 52 years.
Hector is survived by his loving spouse, Soledad, of 61 years, and four children: Hector A. Burciaga, Jr. of El Paso, Tx., Arthur V. Burciaga of Roswell, NM., Michelle M. Lewis of Las Vegas, NV and Melody A. Burciaga of El Paso, TX. Hector has 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and two siblings, Jesus and Velia.
Hector was preceded in death by mother, Luz Maria and Father, Meleciano Antonio Burciaga, and two siblings: Saul and Lina.
Hector attended NMSU (New Mexico State University) with a concentration on studies in engineering. Hector was a man of faith who enjoyed family time and attending church. He had a great love of music, and took great joy in designing stalks for his rifle collection as well as going hunting. He was a great fan of football--an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings~SKOL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 4, 2024 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd., El Paso, 79936.
A visitation for Hector will then be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, TX 79938, followed by a prayer service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
