

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Humberto Rivas on November 7th, 2025. Humberto was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend whose presence radiated warmth, laughter, and generosity to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Esperanza, his sons Humberto Jr, Steve, Sergio, his daughters Rocio, Abigail, Gabriela, Ignacia Angela, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild, as well as his extended family, including ex-wife María de los Ángeles and stepchildren. His family was the center of his life, and his love for them knew no bounds.
Humberto proudly served in the Army. Following his service, he became a respected member of the Union of Carpet, Linoleum, and Soft Tile Workers, Local 12 in San Jose, California, where his strong work ethic and camaraderie were well recognized. A true craftsman, Humberto was a master in flooring, admired for his exceptional skill in carpeting and flooring. His workmanship left a lasting mark on many businesses, homes, and the hearts of all who experienced it.
In 2006, after retiring, he relocated to El Paso, Texas, to spend more time with his family, including his brothers and sisters, and countless friends.
Beyond his professional achievements, Humberto will be remembered for his warm welcomes, his infectious sense of humor, and his generous spirit. His home was always open, his laughter abundant, and his kindness always present. He had a remarkable ability to make friends at grocery stores or wherever he went.
Humberto’s legacy of love, friendship, brotherhood, hard work, and compassion will continue to inspire his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
