Ignacio was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend. He took great pride in his service to the U.S. Army as a Military Police officer since his service at the Canal Zone Panama and Fort Bliss. Ignacio retired as a Sargent from the USAA December 1959 and became a proud member of El Paso Police Department in 1960, where he served for 20 years and again retired as a Sargent. He then became head security for JC Penny downtown; upon retiring from there he opened Montana Enterprises Private Investigations.
Ignacio's love of law was only superseded by the love of his wife Darlene and his love and devotion to his children, grandchildren and extended family. He will be greatly missed but greatly held in our hearts. Ignacio never met a stranger. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, with Vigil at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 25th at 1:15 pm at St. Anthony’s Seminary, 4601 Hastings Drive. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
