It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Miner, our beloved matriarch whose warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Born in El Paso, Texas, Irene was the cherished daughter of Leonardo and Celia Miner. She grew up in a family that fostered love, faith, and resilience, qualities that she carried with her throughout her life- and most importantly passed to her children.
Our mother passed away peacefully at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was predeceased by her parents Leonardo and Celia Miner, her grandson Leo Miner Ramirez, her sister Isela M. Bernal, and her brother Albert T. Miner. Her memory will endure in the hearts of her children, Liza Tobias (Victor), Patricia Baughman (Ray), and Victor Ramirez, Jr. (Mary), as well as her grandchildren Erik(Jackie), Michael, Patrick, Nicolas, Gabriella, Francesca, and Jacob. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jordyn, Erik II, Emma, Erin, and Easton, and a great-great-granddaughter Elouise, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Our mother attended S. F. Austin High School before dedicating 36 years to the El Paso Independent School District (E.P.I.S.D.). Her love for children and her nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on countless students and parents, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Our mother was a woman of many passions. She loved to crochet, creating hand-knitted blankets for every new addition to the family. As they got older and requested new blankets she would incorporate their favorite team colors into her designs. Her lively personality was reflected in her appearance and interests. Easily recognizable in a crowd by her penchant for wearing purple or leopard prints! Our mother was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, never missing a game. Her love for music and dancing brought joy to those around her, and her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through every moment.
Our mother will be greatly missed, and we are very grateful she was in our lives as long as she was.
