Our deepest and sincere condelences during this time of loss. Grandpa was a very special person to us. Knowing that my kids got to know their great grandpa is a blessing on its own. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Mr. Alvarado,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Naval Construction Battalions fighting the Japanese in the Pacific during WW II-especially at Iwo Jima in 1945-one of the bloodiest battles of the War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

My Grandpa was a huge influence in my life. I joined the Navy because he was in the Navy during WWII. I love to work with my hands fixing and building anything and everything because that's what my Grandpa Jake did. I am sucessful today because of the work ethics my grandfather instilled in me as a boy. I was blessed to have my grandpa live next door, to visit anytime and hear all his stories of being a cowboy, a Seabee, and a heavey equipment operator. My Grandpa was a "Mans, man" all you had to do was look at his hands to know they lived a hard and productive life of 95 years. The thing I treasure most from my grandpa is my name. Yo soy "ALVARADO" Rest in Peace. Thank you for everything.
