A proud veteran, Jeannine served as a 1st Lieutenant in the military, dedicating over two years to active duty before continuing her commitment to others through 20 years of civil service. As a registered nurse, she specialized in surgical and trauma care.
Jeannine was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Preceded in death by brothers Roger, Gerald, and Rene, and sister Jackie. Two husbands, William L Hoefner and Durwood "Dag" Nobles, her sons, William and Timothy, and daughter Jackie. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith through her surviving children—Suzy, Kathy, Patrick, and John—along with 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Jeannine’s life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, and service. After moving to El Paso, she met her first husband while singing in the choir at Our Lady of Assumption. Together, they raised their family of seven at Blessed Sacrament, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan, with both parents sharing their love for music in the choir. Following the passing of her first husband, she relocated to the Westside with her second husband and continued her Eucharistic Ministry at St. Matthew’s, extending her service to retirement communities. She was a Proclaimer, a devoted member of the Prayer Chain and Legion of Mary, and an active supporter of the Serra Club. As a founding parishioner of St. John Paul II Catholic Church, she found great joy in preparing and attending Adoration. Jeannine’s faith was the heart of her life, and she deeply cherished the friendships she formed within her church communities. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who prayed with her during her final days in hospice care. Her Catholic faith, devotions, and rituals were her greatest source of strength and love.
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we honor the life of our beloved grandmother, a matriarch whose resilience, generosity, and unwavering faith defined her every moment. She was a pillar of wisdom, a guiding light of compassion, and the embodiment of strength. Her devotion to family was endless, and her love knew no bounds.
With a selfless and spiritual heart, she lived to serve and nurture, always reminding us of the power of kindness. "Te amo" were words she spoke with sincerity, leaving a legacy of warmth and devotion. Like a poinsettia in full bloom, she brought beauty and grace into our lives—always faithful, always loyal, always joyful, always noble.
As we grieve her passing, we find peace in knowing she was received by the Lord’s embrace, hearing the words she so rightfully earned: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Though she is no longer with us, her love and wisdom will forever remain in our hearts.
We will cherish the little joys that made her special, even the simple delight of a Cherry Dilly Bar.
