Mr. Pulley was an amazing colleague and friend. We met while working at Austin HS. He was a great teacher and friend. Some of my best memories of him would be when he had cookouts at his home and he and Chris Todar would play their guitars and sing all night. What wonderful times! RIP Jesse.

To Pulley Who Fought The Good Fight! (h: (And did IT with such strength!)

As everyone has been quick to recall, his kindness is what made him man that can be honored. He’s a perfect example of how the simple things you choose to do in life make all the difference. And yet to say simple might be a disservice. 
Mr. Pulley chose to be kind, funny, generous with patience, ready to go above and beyond for those around him, and a hard worker. Simple is not the task just described. 
With those choices he made on a daily basis he shaped the lives of others around him for the better. Giving complements that still brings confidence, and smiles to all kinds of faces years later. 
Being authentic and unapologetic is a lesson that you can’t learn from an economics book. I’m confident his voice still echoes with excitement. And the glee in his laughter is not soon forgotten.  
May you rest with our Lord Mr. Pulley. Thank you for your heart warming service! I pray that your passing was as painless as possible and that your family’s hearts are resting in the one who Heals the broken-hearted, our Lord Jesus Christ. I know you’re missed dearly. Until we meet again.

Mr. Pulley was a light-hearted, funny and  talented soul. He was a wonderful friend and extraordinary coworker. He loved teaching and most importantly, he truly cared for his students. His war stories were so entertaining and I loved the way he always got into character when he told them. He will be dearly missed. Rest In Peace dear friend. 

Mr Pulley was my teacher, and one of the things I will never forget is he always made us aware of the fact that he was there for us. He believed in hard work, and more even so I think, being an enabler to those who truly wanted to work hard. Lucky to have been a student of his. Rest in power.

Mr Pulley coming  into  Pete's class and sharing his stories  and debating with Pete was fun to watch . I love the way Mr. Pulley talked .

It is evident the great impact Mr. Pulley created in the lives of many of his students. He was a teacher like no other. He was not afraid or embarrassed to be himself and his energy was contagious. I could be having a bad day and his class was the only therapy I needed to feel better.  He was kind, loving, and patient. May he Rest In Peace and live in our hearts forever.

I've been putting this to the side to not get teary eyed.... So here it goes... Thank you for believing in me when I didnt believe in myself. Thank you for inspiring me to continue school and checking up on me after high school. Thank you for responding to my emails no matter the lengths❤️ thank you for inspiring my need to teach cause when I thought of becoming a teacher the first teacher I thought about was you. The joy you found in teaching us. The joy you found in singing us old country songs❤️ thank you for the impact you had in my life ❤️ rest in peace Mr. Pulley 🙏 

Mr. Pulley wasn't just an amazing teacher, he was a great man I looked up to. His honesty taught me to always be real. His jokes and laughter will always bring a smile to my face everytime I remember. He will live forever in my life with the memories and the many life lessons he taught me that ill be able to pass down to my children. Thank you Mr. Pulley. 

Mr Pulley was an awesome teacher, I remember I had him for my last period and every tule I had a question after class he had the time to stick around and always answers my question and like others have mentioned he would throw a couple of jokes in class to keep us interested in the subject. 

I wasn’t the smartest in class nor the best behaved, but he was patient and would laugh and joke with us in class. He was an amazing teacher and one whom I’ve remembered for the past 14 years. As I sit here my heart aches for his loss. An amazing soul and an amazing person he was to us. May he Rest In Peace and May god help his friends and family through this goodbye. 

When I started teaching at Austin, Jesse was one of the first teachers to reach out and welcome me to the campus. He was a wonderful man, a great friend, and always willing to go out of his way to help his fellow teachers and his students.  We had a lot of great conversations and solved many of the world’s problems.  Jesse, you will be missed. God speed my friend.

I loved going to his class because it was so much fun  he loved talking about his family and he loved to sing 🎤  he will be missed I was one of his students in 2013 

I used to stay after school because my mother worked at Austin High School. He taught me government and economics. Whenever I would stay late we would just sit and talk about life, he told me all about his service and was an example of those teachers that really care and really change lives. You will be missed sir.
