He is survived by his dear mother, Maria Elena Enciso of El Paso, siblings Melissa (Peter), David (Paty) and Tony (Telma), Karla (Eric), Joshua, Veronica, Godparents Tom and Janet Kincaid, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and many cousins.
Jesus was pre-deceased by his father, Jesus Lugo Sr.
Jesus grew up in his early years in Segundo Barrio, where he attended Roosevelt Elementary, Guillen Middle School and Bowie High School. He received his G.E.D. and later graduated from Western Technical College, El Paso Campus, with certification in Building and Construction.
Jesus was an avid soccer fan and deeply loved music and explored many genres. He excelled in languages and was a highly skilled language translator.
As it is said, "it takes a community to raise a child."
Jesus spent his adolescent and young adult years in loving care of his godparents, Tom and Janet Kincaid of El Paso. Their time was blessed with experiences and travel throughout the United States and Mexico, visiting natural sites, exciting theme parks and visiting family, often with his cousins Carlos and Angel as part of the traveling family. Tom and Janet instilled the wish that he "Always keep your eyes open. Keep watching. Because whatever you see can inspire you." (Grace Coddington).
Jesus was fortunate to be surrounded by caring siblings as well as insightful educators and figures who made a valuable impact on his intellectual and spiritual formation. Remembered for his brightness by his teachers throughout the years, he is remembered for his curiosity and philosophical point of view.
