Our beloved father and grandfather, Joe T. Vargas, 77, passed away in Burbank, California on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Joe was a proud veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He continued his legacy of selfless service becoming a member of the law enforcement community with the U.S. Postal Service. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jose B. Vargas and Catarina Talamantes and his sister, Juanita Montes. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Paul Vargas and Christine Vargas and grandchildren, Vincent Vargas, Camille Vargas, Daffney Vargas and Paul Vargas Jr. Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, TX 79938. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with services concluding thereafter.
