Mom was born on March 30, 1931, to Felipe Jordan and Aurora Castañeda Jordan. She attended Beall Elementary School, and was a proud Bowie Bear. While at Bowie, Mom enjoyed playing volleyball and softball, graduating in 1949.
She worked at Forti’s Dry Goods and Merchant Suppliers Dry Goods. On November 8, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Kiko Morales. For 66 years, Kiko and Fina, as she was lovingly known, raised a family on a firm foundation of love and faith. She had a passion for crochet and sewing. Mom loved to bake and cook, working in her garden, and was amazing on the dance floor. She was active in the Houston Elementary School PTA and the Austin High School PTSA, holding several positions, including president of both.
Mom was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play, and especially cheering for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at any and all of their sporting events. Her contagious, smile, wit, and humor will forever be etched on the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Angel Jordan, Elvira Flores, Antonio Jordan, Raul Jordan, Joe Jordan, and Manuela Martinez; son David Morales; husband Frank A. Morales; grandson Daniel J. Morales; and daughter-in-law Minerva M. Morales.
She is survived by her children, Frank J. Morales, Elizabeth M. Salcido (Fred), Jaime Morales (Julie), and Priscilla F. Morales; brother Felipe Jordan (Martha); 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
