Josephine C. Cooper

Josephine C. Cooper, 92, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2014. Josie was a life-long resident of El Paso and a proud 1942 graduate of Bowie High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Frank (John D) Cooper, son Frank Cooper Jr., and daughter Angie Cooper. She is survived by daughters Martha Grijalva (Louie) and Cindy Cooper, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to nurse Ruben Alvarado and staff at Sierra Medical Center, La Mariposa Hospice, and all those who had her in their prayers. Visitation will be Monday, December 8, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Martin Central. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama St. Rite of Committal will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Louie Grijalva, Patrick Grijalva, Hector Gonzalez, Johnny Martinez, Ramon Gamboa and Robert Vance. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews Tony de Leon and Tito Camacho.
