Josephine F. Duran, 84, passed away August 3, 2020. Josie was born in Tularosa, New Mexico to Anita Fresquez Alvarez and raised in El Paso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother; loving husband Antonio Duran; sons; Daniel R. Duran and Edward T. Duran; and her devoted companion, Ray Arriaga Sr.
Left to cherish her memories are her aunt; Minnie Solis; siblings; Alfonso Alvarez, Charles Alvarez and Sophia Getty; children; Bobby Duran and wife Mary, Debra Duran-Bustamante and husband Freddie, Antonio Duran Jr., and Christine Duran, grandchildren; Diana Duran, Serina Duran-Abrou, Melissa Sanchez, Jason Duran, Clint Duran, Steven Duran, great grandchildren; Amanda Sierra, Ally Duran-Peña, Sarah Sanchez, Bobby Sanchez, Alyssa Sanchez, Mary A. Duran, Ava Duran, Alison Sanchez, Logan Duran, Rafael Sanchez Jr., Evan Duran, Morgan Sanchez and Elliot Duran. Josie was a dedicated member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, bingo, dancing, singing, fishing, camping, cooking and card games. Josie’s life-loving personality will be missed dearly.
