In Loving Memory of Juan (Johnny) Holguin passed peacefully on March 23, surrounded by the family who cherished him. A proud serviceman of the United States Air Force and a dedicated retired Customs Enforcement agent, Johnny lived a life defined by honor, service, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He was a loyal churchgoer devoud to St Joseph's Catholic Church. At the center of his world was his adoring wife and dance partner, Hilda Holguin, with whom he shared a lifetime of laughter, partnership, and joy. Their bond was one of deep affection and steady companionship. Johnny is preceded in death by his loving sister, Emma Rivera, whose memory he carried close to his heart. He leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever hold his spirit close: Children • Anna Baca and her husband, Herman Baca • Janet H. Lopez, Joey, Cassandra, and Nicole Avila. Juan’s legacy lives on in the values he instilled—strength, loyalty, humor, and a deep love for family. His presence filled every room, and his kindness touched every life he encountered. He will be remembered not only for his service to his country and community, but for the warmth he shared so freely with those around him. Though he has left this world, the memories he created and the love he gave will continue to guide and comfort his family for generations. May he rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a vigil at 6:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 9:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903; with a committal to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Blvd. El Paso, Texas 79906.
