Juanita D. Alvarez

The Alvarez family would like to announce that the Rose in their garden, Juanita D. Alvarez has been picked and sent to heaven at the age of 81 April 22, 2010. She was born, June 24, 1928 in El Paso, Texas. She was the matriarch of her family a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a lady of great love, dignity and selflessness. Mom we love you and you will be greatly missed. She was a devoted catholic and close friend to all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her loving husband Manuel Alvarez, her three sons Dr. Manny Alvarez, Armando Alvarez and Judge Javier Alvarez, daughters Maggie Villegas and Gloria Grijalva, sister Minnie De La Cruz, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give special Thanks to Dr. Panagiotis Valilis, Dr. Abraham Gonzalez and 3rd floor staff of Sierra Medical Center Hospital for the wonderful care during her illness. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at St. Patrick Cathedral. Interment will follow to Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
