We gather here today with heavy hearts but also with deep gratitude for the life of a remarkable woman—Julia. She was more than a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she was a guiding light, a pillar of strength, and a woman whose kindness and dedication touched so many lives.
To her three children—Blanca, Pablo, and Lee—she was not only a loving mother but a source of unwavering support and endless love. Every sacrifice she made, every long day of hard work, was for them. She built a life filled with warmth, care, and opportunity, ensuring that her children grew up in a home filled with love, laughter, and strong values. She was a mother in every sense of the word—one who loved fiercely, worked tirelessly, and gave selflessly.
Julia dedicated over thirty years of her life to caring for children in her in-home daycare, not just providing a safe space but creating a second home for so many. She nurtured, taught, and shaped the lives of countless little ones, offering them love and guidance as if they were her own. She was a mother not just to three but to an entire community, and the impact of her care will be felt for generations to come.
She was a woman of ambition and resilience, never backing down from the challenges life placed in her path. After the passing of her beloved husband, Mervin Lower, she carried on with strength and determination, continuing to build a beautiful life for her family. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the values of hard work, compassion, and perseverance—values they will carry forward as her legacy.
Julia was blessed with a wonderful family that she loved deeply. She is survived by her three children—Blanca and her husband Joe, Pablo and his wife Bernadette, and Lee and his wife Bernie—who were her greatest pride and joy. She was also a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren—Mateo, Samantha, Bradlee, Emma, Bentlee, and Benedict—each of whom she cherished with all her heart. And of course, we cannot forget her fur babies, Chula and Brownie, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.
Julia was loved by so many, and her presence will be deeply missed. But as we stand here today, let us not dwell on the sorrow of her passing but instead celebrate the beauty of her life. Let us honor her by carrying forward the love, kindness, and generosity that she so freely gave to others. Let us find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with Mervin, watching over us with pride and love.
Julia’s beautiful spirit will forever live on in the lives she touched. She may no longer be with us in person, but her love, her laughter, and her unwavering devotion to family will never fade. We will miss you, Julia, but we will carry you in our hearts always.
Rest peacefully, knowing that your love continues to shine through those you cherished most.
We love you, Mom ❤️
