Our beloved daughter, Kayla Marissa Macias passed away on June 16, 2025, while hiking with her father in the Oregon Mountains. She was 17 years old. Kayla was born in El Paso, Texas on June 11, 2008, and was a very vibrant and outgoing young lady that was looking forward to her senior year at Pebble Hills High School.
Kayla was very creative, designing her own artwork on clothes, and loved to spend time with her friends, riding motorcycles with her dad, hiking, listening to music and sometimes volunteering with her mother at church. She was a bright light in this world and will be missed by so many.
Kayla is survived by her parents David Macias Abraham and Wendy Black; sisters Rebecka, Rose, Fathia, Shavon; grandmother Rosy; and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79938. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 27, 2025 at 12 p.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
