Leandros Demetrous Cooper Jr.,42, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2025. He was born in El Paso in 1983, where he lived most of his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved.
Leandros, known for his humor, selflessness, and ability to light up any room, was truly the life of the party. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went—whether it was with neighbors, strangers, or anyone fortunate enough to cross his path. With a big smile and an even bigger heart, he was never afraid to speak his mind, to dance, or to bring laughter to those around him.
A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Leandros loved nothing more than grilling for family and friends while watching his team play. He was a talented artist with a true gift for drawing. His creativity also showed in his entrepreneurial spirit, which led him to start his own car detailing business. Generous at heart, he gave freely of himself and was always ready to help others in any way he could.
He is survived by his parents, Elva Richey and Noel Richey; his sisters, Erica Austin and Alicia Tosky Richey; his father Leandros Demetrous Cooper Sr.; his wife Cassandra Rodriguez; his children; his beloved dog (son), Cooper; nieces and nephews, Kiara Austin, Ryan Austin Jr, Nevaeh Austin, Liam Austin, Gianna Gonzalez, and Giselle Gonzalez; his brother-in-law, Gabriel Gonzalez; his cousins, aunts, and uncles; and countless friends and neighbors who loved him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903.
Leandros will be remembered for his laughter, his energy, and his ability to make life a little brighter for everyone around him. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
