On Friday December 14th 2018 Leocadia passed on to heaven. "Lily" as all her friends called her had a very eventful life. She was born in Mexico and made her way to the US working cleaning house and caring for the kids of what would become one of her best friends. While working there she met her future husband and enjoyed a loving marriage for over 30 years until his passing in 1989. In her life as a military wife she supported her husband and children during their stationing in Germany, California, New Jersey and their final home in El Paso, TX. There she worked in anything from cook and server at the "Lucky Boy" hamburger restaurant, to a chile packing plant, and other jobs with finally retiring from her job at Levi Strauss Jeans factory. In her life she has made many friends and has lived through many experiences good and bad. Even with a very, as she would say "honest" opinion of life, which she was not shy to share with anyone, she also offered a helping hand to many family members. Nobody could argue that she is an incredibly proud, determined, tough and stubborn woman. She would be proud to know that those qualities have passed on to her children, and their children and have allowed them to have successes in their life and the strength to deal with the most difficult situations in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Parra, her sons John and Ismael, her sisters Lupe and Maria, her brothers Manuel and Ismael. She is survived by her daughter Olivia, sons Joe and Daniel. Her grandchildren Lacey, Kelli, William, Stephanie, Stephen, Vanessa, Joseph and Matthew. Her great grandchildren Gia, Ricky Jr, Ava, Rylan and Landon
