Leopoldo "Leo" Caballero Jr.

Caballero, Leopoldo (Leo) Jr., age 83, was called to rest on April 7, 2012. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on September 17,1928 to Leopoldo,Sr. and Soledad Caballero, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his two sisters, Josephine Widner and Rosie Warren. Leo graduated from Cathedral High School class of 1946 with further education at Texas Western College & University of Colorado at Boulder. He served in the US Armed Forces stationed in Hawaii, Japan, and Korea with the 25th Infantry Division. In 1956 he was granted US Citizenship because of his military service. Leo was a local area businessman in El Paso & Mexico. He is survived by daughter, Veronica Perez and her husband, Manny; daughter, Lilly Caballero Haines and her husband, Brian Haines; daughter, Laura Hettinger and her husband, Ron; daughter, Isabelle Caballero and her husband, Bobby Colmenero; Ana Rizzo and her husband, David Rizzo; George Caballero, son; Carlos Caballero and wife Ana, son; and Fernando Caballero, son. He is also survived by nine grand-children and three great grand-children. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a service and rosary beginning at 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, TX 79903. Interment will be at a later date at Evergreen East Cemetery with military honors.

Las visitas se celebrará el jueves, 12 de abril de 2012, de 5:00 pm a 9:00 pm con un servicio y comienzo de Rosario a las 7:00 pm Martin funeraria, 3839 Montana Avenida El Paso, TX 79903. Entierro será en una fecha posterior en el cementerio Evergreen oriental con honores militares.
