Cocky gave me my 1st $100 dollar bill and although it was probably nothing to him, it meant the world to me... I thought I was rich at that time. Tweetie took me to California to meet my dad's side of the family and they all treated me with Love. I will never forget the love I received when the whole family welcomed me with open arms, I hate I never expressed to Cocky how much it meant to me, but I want his family to know I have never forgot any of you and I will always keep all of you in my heart and prayers. I'm sorry for your loss and as you all already know Lewellyn Charles Cox was a great man and I believe that I am a better person because of him.

What a wonderful experience in life, knowing Cocky.  One of the smartest Brothers I knew from Biology to Theology.  Cox was studied and well versed.  Gonna miss this type cousin as he knew what he knew and had no problem sharing . . . just don't ever challenge him(smiles).

You've always been the uncle that I've known through phones calls and limited childhood interactions but I remember your voice and your smile so vivid. My Brother was the very best older brother you could ever have or ask for I'm Freddy Cox the baby boy I use to try and hang out as much as I could with him he's the greatest to me and I can't begin to say how much I'm going to miss my brother. Cocky I have so many memories of you but  I'm not going to put them all  here. I'll just give a few, you were mu first friend (for 73 years.) You have been my friend a "True Friend" thank you! I remember you trying to teach me how to skate (still on one skate, I never mastered that) I remember the talent you had for making people laugh ( all the time) you would be serious and we would be cracking up. You, Liz and my mama are the ones that call Norma Jean.  That always made and  makes me feel special!! Love you!
