

Lino Navarro, 94, of El Paso, Texas passed away Monday, October 23, 2017. Lino was born in September 1923 in Mexico to Elfego and Josefa Navarro. At Age 16, he learned to play the saxophone and clarinet and discovered his passion for music. His favorite quote was “always keep a song in your heart.” For several years, he played with the famous Carlos Aceves Orchestra of Ciudad Juarez. In 1949, he married Sarah Oseguera and they moved to El Paso, Texas. He began a lifelong career as a professional carpenter. Lino was also a backyard mechanic and enjoyed refurbishing old cars. Lino is survived by his 5 children; Lina Judy (David) Bott, Fernando X. Navarro, Robert (Marie) Navarro, Charles J. (Frances) Navarro and Ceci (Joe) Quintana, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren as well as many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 29th from 5 pm to 8 pm with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Avenue with Pastor Hector Felix officiating. Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 30th at 10 am at Martin Funeral Home Central. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
