Lisanne, 42, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:44 p.m., after a long and courageous battle with squamous cell carcinoma.
Lisanne lived her life with honesty, integrity, and an unwavering sense of who she was. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, Godmother, nurse, and friend. She was also a devoted dog mom to her six beloved fur babies.
Lisanne took tremendous pride in being a nurse and in caring for others. She was a girls’ girl through and through—loyal, fiercely loving, and always ready to stand beside the people she cared about. An avid reader and true lover of books, she found joy in getting lost in a good story.
Above all else, Lisanne was a devoted mother. Her greatest love was her son, John David Tapia II and she dedicated her life to raising the amazing young man he has become. Being his mother was one of the greatest joys and proudest accomplishments of her life. Though her time with him was far too short, the love she poured into her son will remain with him always.
Lisanne faced her battle with squamous cell carcinoma with the same strength, grace, courage, and stubborn determination that defined her throughout her life. She fought long and hard, never giving up, and remained true to herself until the very end.
Lisanne is survived by her greatest love, her son, John David Tapia II; her mother and stepfather, Yvonne and Anthony Jacquez; her father and stepmother, Pedro and Christine Orpinel; her brother and sister-in-law, Jacob and Liz Jacquez, and their three children, Jayce, Isabella, and Sophia; her stepbrother and sister-in-law, Darrion and Morgan Orpinel; as well as her beloved dogs, Dax, King, Athena, Ace, Kodak, and Rocco.
Lisanne leaves behind a life defined by love, loyalty, courage, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
